This week in art we watched the read aloud video below for The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. This book teaches us about the POWER OF YET. Vashti the student in the book tells herself she can't draw, but then her teacher shows her that she is an artist if she thinks she is. Vashti doesn't give up and she uses her imagination to create wonderful pieces of art. She wasn't great at art...............YET. She didn't give up! That's the important part. This week each student in every class made at least one dot for dot day. They are displayed in the hall for all to see. THE DOT
